Come and see what it could look like, and comment…..
You can go and look at the different options for doing up Arnold Circus on this coming Tuesday – lighting, railings and so on, as well as tree thinning.
The details are below –
BOUNDARY GARDENS – RESTORATION WORKS
Open Evening at Boundary Gardens between 5 p.m. to 8:30 pm Tuesday 25th August.
Come and see how the Gardens could look once they are restored!
The Council intends to demonstrate for local people how parts of the Gardens could look once the proposed works are complete in Spring 2010.
Consultants for the Council, LDA Design, are providing a display of various samples, pictures and drawings of the different parts of the design. Please come along to look at and comment on proposed
- surfacing materials,
- seats and benches,
- handrails to the steps,
- adaptations to the internal railings to the planting beds,
- lighting ideas
- concept plan for new planting
- pruning works to existing trees and shrubs
The Council is pruning 5 plane trees and the shrubs and small trees of no more than a quarter of the site (those nearest to Calvert Avenue) to show how the Gardens could look in the future.
We expect the tree and shrub pruning work will take place on Friday 21st August ready for the Open Evening.
