The Invasion of the Monster Buses

July 2, 2010

Three years back – despite many local protests – Transport for London changed the route of the 78 bus so that it used Arnold Circus as the turning point at the end of its route. A convenience for them, but not for people, including the local school.

Ever since, locals have been troubled by largely empty buses rumbling noisily round the Circus at 15 minute intervals until 1 in the morning. And occasionally TfL have added other buses to the route too.

Now it could be due to to get worse. Transport for London is proposing to change the single-decker 78 to a double-decker bus. if you think, as we do, that not only this but all buses are inappropriate, please get in touch quickly with Transport for London –  at the latest before July 15th.

You should quote “Tranche 328: Routes 45,78,176 and 188”.
