Rachel Whiteread ‘Hollyhock Seeds’ Print

December 15, 2012

‘HOLLYHOCK SEEDS’ – A NEW PRINT BY RACHEL WHITEREAD – WILL BE LAUNCHED AT LEILA’S SHOP, 5 – 8PM, MONDAY 17th DECEMBER 2012

The Friends of Arnold Circus are happily the beneficiaries from the creation of a new limited edition print by Rachel Whiteread. Galerie Simpson are very proud to present this their latest publication at Monday’s launch at Leila’s Shop in support of the Friends’ ongoing work.

This new gem of a work was inspired by hollyhock seeds gathered from Arnold Circus during the Summer of 2012.  It is a playful image, rich in subtle variations, a merging of colour and texture that translates beautifully through the process of silk screen, and the use of a handmade rough textured paper.  Published in an edition of 125, and at the special launch price of £250 for the first 50 prints. (Silkscreen, paper size 25.2 x 29 cms, Image size 11.2 x 15 cm, Somerset rough textured paper 500gsm).

You are invited to a special preview of the work at Leila’s Shop, 15-17 Calvert Avenue, London E2 7JP, on Monday 17th December, from 5-8pm. The work will be at Leila’s for viewing and purchasing from the 17th December, during shop hours, Wed to Sat 10am-6pm, Sun 11am-5pm.
